So Just How Long Does it Take To BitLocker To Go a 1.5TB USB Hard Disk?

_A Long Time_ !!

As an experiment, we began a BitLocker To Go encryption process on a 1.5TB USB external hard disk.

The process was initiated last night, ran until this morning, then ran all day while we were in session.

This is where the process is at after resuming it about 15 minutes ago:

The moral of the story? An eSATA version would be _a lot_ faster than this! Though it too would take a long time.

Total time to get to the above percentage? Probably somewhere in the neighbourhood of 18 hours so far!
