We take the Christmas break as an opportunity to implement larger projects at our client's locations while they are down.

So, we generally take Christmas day and New Years day off, but work the rest of the week days.

Our break will come sometime later in January.

48 Hours ... just like that.

We had a pretty bad stomach flu run through our family.

Jean-Luc still hasn't had it yet and hopefully will not. Monique, Anne-Marie, and Raymond have all had it.

It struck me down a couple of days ago and I am just now coming back up for air!

Blog posts may be infrequent for a bit during recovery mode.

Taking a little break...

We are taking a much needed family break.

Since we have been working like crazy since late last year, we booked this little break around Christmas time as we knew we were not getting a break back then.

So, posting may be light until the middle of next week.

Temporary Blogging Stoppage for a Funeral

We need to head out tomorrow for a funeral. Monique's Grandpa has passed away.

We are back and buried! ;)

As things go, we have had a bunch of things to take care of after our break.

So, posting may be light as we catch up, but we do have a number of new Mac on SBS related posts to take care of.

A little spam monster is rearing its ugly head on the spam front: We are finding that some of our clients are hitting mysterious disappearances of their emails sent to their own clients. Hopefully, we can get some cooperation out of the recipient's IT department to find out what spam filters they are running and whether they are in-house or a third party service. And, why the chicken they can't seem to add email domains to a "whitelist" on their spam filters.

More to come on the spam filter front...

Anyone else encountering clients getting frustrated that their email isn't getting through?

Blog access outage...

We are still in the process of refining our Internet facing servers.

As a result, we experienced an outage on our blog access due to no access to our primary DNS servers.

We are making changes to our DNS topology to avoid that in the future.

Our apologies for any inconvenience.

We live and learn. :*)

Update: Changed "experiences" to "experienced".

Also, looking at the logs, the issue might have been internal here as there doesn't seem to be any real break in the blog visit times, or the problem had just started to show itself.

It bears further investigation. :D
